Based in New England since 1971, we’ve worked in the Westford area for decades. We know the landscape and we have good relationships with local police and fire officials. Our team of employees (200 strong and growing) live in the communities we serve, this means our customers are our neighbors.
Westford was first settled by European colonists as part of Chelmsford in the early 1600’s. As the town grew in population, it seceded and became incorporated as its own town in 1729. The name Westford comes from the geographic location of the town relative to Chelmsford.
After Westford had first settled, although mainly a residential town, it did have some industry which included granite mining, yarn manufacturing and apple orchards. For much of its existence and well into the nineteenth century, the town maintained its agricultural ways which it would sell to nearby towns and cities. However, as the Industrial Revolution struck New England, the railroad came to Westford, and opened up a new commuting way of life for many residents. The proximity of Boston and Lowell allowed for residents to commute from Westford thus making Westford a residential community. Today, the town of approximately 20,000 people maintains its residential ways, but it also has become a town with many technology businesses in town, as it is located on the “128 Technology Belt.”

Due to the rural nature of the town, most of the recreation in town has to do with the outdoors, two prime examples are Nashoba Valley Ski Area and the two beaches on Forge Pond and Nabnasset Pond. Nashoba Valley first opened in 1964, and has been in constant operation since, and was also one of the first areas to allow snowboarders in the country. It is home to nearly twenty runs, along with a terrain park and a snow-tube park. Also in town are two beaches located on Forge Pond and Nabnasset Pond which are frequented in summer months. Locals come to enjoy the boating, fishing, and swimming that these ponds provide.
