Sharon was first settled by the English in the mid seventeenth century, but it took over 100 years to become incorporated. In 1740, it became part of Stoughton and later in 1775 it was incorporated as Stoughtonham, named after the town it seceded from, only to have the name later changed to Sharon, named after the Sharon Plain in Israel.
Sharon is best known for being a suburb south of Boston, perhaps best known for its nature. Prior to European settlers Sharon was settled by natives, who used the fertile area for fishing and hunting. After Europeans settled the area, it was primarily an agrarian community and the cultivation of crops such as cranberries, strawberries and other fruit-bearing trees was common.
During Revolutionary times, it was known to produce much of the heavy artillery for soldier’s like cannons and cannon balls. The famous Deborah Sampson was also a resident of Sharon at this time. She is known for disguising herself as a male in order to see battle in the Revolutionary War. After the War, Sharon became a small industrial town. Some of the goods that were produced in town were boots, boxes, carriages, leather, lumber and various polishes. Today, the town of 17,000, is a bedroom community, as it lies just over 15 miles from Boston. CNN Money named Sharon as the best place to live in the United States in 2013.

Sharon Resident Calls American Alarm For Service After Another Security Company Disappoints
As is the case with many of the low-end wireless systems that are on the market today, this customer’s system was experiencing many false alarms, which prompted the customer to turn it off for extended periods of time. Furthermore, when we inspected the home, our integrated systems consultant found that the property was not fully covered-the existing system had major gaps, such as no protection on the basement windows close to the alarm panel.
After several detailed discussions with this customer, they decided to install a fully hard-wired American Alarm home security system. We made sure the entire home was completely protected-and because of our system’s superior quality, and the protocols for installation which require that every element be hardwired with soldered splices, this customer no longer worries about false alarms or the reliability of their system. That’s the definition of peace of mind for home security.
